ESTABLISHED GOLFERS TUITION HOLIDAY: improve your game for tomorrow and understand for a lifetime

Sometimes in golf we get stuck on a plateau, we still want to improve but we just can’t seem to get to that next level.

Have you ever had this experience? you got your first handicap and then broke that golden barrier of scoring under 100 for the first time, once you got below 100 your score came down quite quickly from here to the low or mid 90′s but then you hit a brick wall! As you came down quickly you wanted to get that score into the 80′s but either you plateaued out or in your desire to go forward you actually went the other way.

No matter what the scoring level this is a common phenomenon in golf. It can be at 120 trying to get to 100 or an elite player trying to get below 70. The real problem is understanding what part of your game is holding you back not guessing what part is holding you back. Before you can make improvements to your game and ultimately your score you want to know exactly what part of your game needs improving – driving, iron play, pitching, chipping, putting or bunkers. Once this is established you want to know how it can be improved – do you need better technique, a better approach or mental place to hit the shot from or better decision making.

The process of analysis and goal/target setting is something that most golfers miss out, they jump straight to technical improvement or beating balls, which is why you stay at that level.

Albert Einstein once said “Insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results” – this is very true in golf but if we look at it closely it is a double edged sword that few too many golfers understand.

Firstly a good pre shot and pre round routine is one of the basic foundations of good golf, we should search for what works for us – the position we hit our best golf shots from – and then repeat every time. Many golfers hit great shots but don’t understand why they felt so relaxed, they don’t look at what they did leading up to the shot so they can never repeat it hence they get different results every time.
On the other hand, they keep practicing in the same way doing the same old things, hitting ball after ball with no specific goals or targets, but they expect better results just because they practiced – but I hit 200 balls yesterday.

If you can see yourself in any of the above, do not worry you are not alone…….I have created the perfect program to help you better understand your game, what changes to make and most importantly how to make them and then implement them into your game. It takes time but in just 3 days you will have the tools you can use for the rest of your golfing lives to keep improving.
